We follow the Australian Privacy Principles as our standard even where a small-business exemption might currently apply, because it's the right baseline and our clients expect it.
This site has no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising trackers of any kind (a design decision). Yes, really. The personal information we receive is what you choose to send us yourself: by email, when you book a call, or through the one form on this site: the free health check, which asks for your name, business name and phone number, plus your website and a message if you want to add them; and, if you arrived from one of our ads, a note saying so.
To respond to your enquiry, to prepare a website or marketing health check if you've asked for one, and to deliver services you've engaged us for. We'll only send marketing tips if you opt in separately, and every message will include an unsubscribe link.
This site is static; it doesn't operate a database of its own. Health-check form submissions are received and stored by our hosting provider, in the United States (with global edge locations), and forwarded to our email. Along with what you type into the form, our hosting provider also receives technical data such as your IP address, which it uses for delivery and to prevent spam. Any email you send us is held in our mailbox provider's systems, operating from the United States with global infrastructure. Each of these providers may process data outside Australia (Australian Privacy Principle 8 note, Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)). We don't sell or share your personal information with anyone else. We keep health-check submissions for 12 months from your enquiry, then delete them.
We also keep encrypted nightly backups of the platforms we run for clients. We also hold enquiry information on behalf of the businesses we build sites for. If you enquired through a client's site, that business is your first point of contact, but you can reach us at info@localcrft.com.au.
This page describes this website only. Once you're a client, how we handle your business's data (and the personal information of your customers that we process on your behalf) is governed by your service agreement: the Order & Scope document, its Ownership Schedule, and our Services Privacy Policy. That policy covers enquiry and lead data, call and message records, the client portal, how long we keep things, and who we use as service providers. Where those apply, it governs your account, not this page.
Where we manage advertising on a client's behalf, how campaign measurement handles personal information is also covered by our Services Privacy Policy.
